DC Donut Crawl was one of the most unique events we ever experienced. It can only be described as a bar crawl on bike, minus the increasing lack of judgment and potential to get pulled over for a DUI. The only consequence to this delicious journey was a sugar-induced coma.
The event started with one man on a mission to combine his passion for both bicycling and doughnuts. Before any of us knew it, with the help of BicycleSPACE, over 200 people wanted to join him across DC in search of the most mouth-watering doughnuts the city has to offer! The crawl started with Chocolate Crust, then moved to GBD, Astro Doughnuts, and finished with District Doughnut.
We served up warm Pumpkin Spiced and Caramel Apple Streusel doughnuts all afternoon at The Lot near Union Kitchen. We even offered a selection of fresh roasted coffee to keep everyone toasty on this particularly cold day.
We aren’t sure if the ride burned off the calories from all the glazed-deliciousness, but we do know everyone who participated had a great time and are looking forward to keeping this an annual tradition!
